Assistant Professor (Management), Business and Economics ...

JOB DETAILS:

POSITION: This is an academic year, faculty, tenure track position in Management. Academic rank dependent on qualifications, credentials and experience.

DUTIES: Engage in quality teaching, service, and scholarly activity in support of the Management Concentration of the Business Administration Major, advise students and serve on Department and University committees. Courses to be taught include Principles of Management and Strategic Management. Other possible courses to be taught include Human Resource Management, International Business and others as assigned by the Department Chair.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A PhD or DBA in Management or in Business Administration or other relevant business discipline is required. An ABD in the areas of qualification cited above will be considered with an earned doctorate required by August 31, 2013 for reappointment to Spring Semester, 2014. University level teaching experience preferred.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, energetic, creative, and engaging. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to the public liberal arts mission and to quality teaching and learning methods. Willingness and interest in utilizing technology in the classroom strongly preferred. The successful candidate must be committed to the highest ethical standards and demonstrate effective leadership and teamwork skills. Candidates that incorporate issues of inclusive excellence and diversity within their curriculum are especially encouraged to apply.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Completed doctorate degree (Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management).
- Experience teaching Management courses at the undergraduate level.
- Evidence of scholarship and activity in relevant professional societies and public outreach.
- Management experience in a relevant industry or government agency.

SALARY: Salary (negotiable). UW-S offers a generous benefits package including health insurance coverage for domestic partners and their eligible dependents.
